Civil and Criminal
Ellen Ribaudo was appointed circuit judge in 2015 by Gov. Jeremiah W. "Jay" Nixon. She was appointed as an associate circuit judge by Gov. Nixon in 2009. Since being appointed to the bench she has heard civil, domestic and criminal cases.
Judge Ribaudo received her Bachelor of Arts with a major in history and a minor in criminal justice from the University of Dayton in 1993. She received her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1996.
Judge Ribaudo was hired by the Missouri Public Defender's Office in 1996 and worked in the City of St. Louis Trial Office. In 2003 she was hired by the law firm of Rosenblum, Schwartz, Rogers and Glass, P.C., where she worked in private practice primarily in the area of criminal defense.
Judge Ribaudo is on the executive committee for the St. Louis County Bar Association, and is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Women Lawyer's Association. In addition to her bar memberships, she has participated in the Griffin Center Back to School program since 2009 and participated in the Youth Leadership St. Louis program since 2014. She in on the board of People with Purpose and volunteers as a mentor through Concordance Academy and Join Hands East St. Louis. She has been a Master in the Theodore McMillian American Inn of Court since 2016.
She lives in St. Louis County.
