Members of the St. Louis County Judicial Speakers Bureau are available to speak to elementary, middle and high school groups, universities, town hall meetings, churches and civic organizations on a wide range of topics, at no charge. Please send us your request at least three weeks in advance, and let us know how long you would like the judge to speak.

Governor Parson appoints Judge John N. Borbonus III as Circuit Judge for the 21st Circuit

August 31, 2018 Governor Mike Parson announced the appointment of Associate Circuit Judge John N. Borbonus III, as circuit judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit in St. Louis County, to take effect September 21, 2018.  He will fill the vacancy upon the September 20, 2018, retirement of Judge Douglas R. Beach.  Judge Borbonus was one of three nominees submitted to the Governor by the 21st Circuit Judicial Commission on August 10, 2018. Judge Borbonus has served as an associate circuit judge in St. Louis County since 2011, when he was appointed by Governor Nixon.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in…

ST. LOUIS COUNTY FAMILY COURT CLOSE TO ACHIEVING FULL COMPLIANCE WITH U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE RECOMMENDATIONS

August 29, 2018  CLAYTON, MO – August 29, 2018 – The St. Louis County Family Court has achieved full compliance with all but one recommendation – staff training – contained in a 2016 agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, according to a D.O.J. audit released last week. Retired Pennsylvania Judge Arthur E. Grim, one of two independent auditors monitoring the Court’s progress, praised Court staff for their ongoing commitment to excellence.
