William J. Gust Appointed to Four-year Term as Probate Commissioner for the 21st Judicial Circuit

William J. Gust has been appointed by Probate Circuit Judge Ellen Levy to a four-year term as Probate Commissioner for the 21st Judicial Circuit. He fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Commissioner Robert Weis. Prior to his appointment, Gust was a shareholder at Polsinelli PC. He has more than a decade of experience in trust and estate litigation and complex civil litigation, and has authored articles relating to trust and estate litigation.

“I am honored to serve the people of St. Louis County and this Court as the next probate commissioner,” Gust said.

Gust is a member of the Probate Section of the Missouri Bar and is Vice Chairman of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee of the Missouri Bar. Gust was named a Rising Star by “Super Lawyers” from 2015-2018. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.

He is a current board member of the Young Friends of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and previously served on the Young Friends Leadership Council of St. Louis Public Radio.
